Chris Bury is a Tasmanian painter living and working on the unceded lands of lutruwita and acknowledges the muwinina and palawa people as the traditional owners and custodians of this island.

Chris is an emerging artist working out of a shared studio space called Good Grief in nipaluna. His paintings currently explore the complexities of peoples psychological relationships to their environment. He focusses on notions of disassociation, solitude and isolation and describes how these are common conditions of post-contemporary life.
